Swamp Zeds are a special variety of zombies that appear in MADNESS: Project Nexus. Compared to normal zombies they have a withered jawline, are a paler shade of green, and have the ability to hurl globs of poisonous/caustic substance at their prey. This gloop deals a small amount of damage over time; while not particularly deadly on its own, it prevents the player from regenerating health until it wears off. The gloop is disabled in Interactive Mode.
Although not explicitly stated, it is very safe to say Swamp Zeds were created when regular Zeds were exposed to the toxic sludge underneath Nexus City.
