Role(s): | Antagonist; Defenders of the Nexus Core Science Tower |
Allies: | Nexus Core |
Enemies: | Hank, Sanford, Deimos, Dr. Christoff |
The Tower Guard is an enemy in MADNESS: Project Nexus encountered in the stages "Base Jumping" and "Shakedown". There are 3 variants but they all have a medieval appearance and a shield, looking similar to a G03LM. They have 4 attacks, a normal melee hit, a shield charge, a spin attack, and a three-hit melee attack. They are harder to take down than basic G03LMs, as they are more mobile and their shields protect them from attacks.
Blue Tower Guard
The Blue Tower Guard is the first variant the protagonists meet, which carries a long sword with a shield. He bursts through a wall to confront Hank, Sanford, and Deimos, claiming that he himself defends the "Tower of Science and Alchemy" (Referring to the Science Tower).
Yellow Tower Guard
The Yellow Tower Guard is the second variant you'll meet. They wield a flail & a shield. They also possess a yellow eyepiece similar to that of an A.A.H.W. Soldat, and even their blood color is yellow instead of red, suggesting that they were subject to the A.T.P. process.
Red Tower Guard
The Red Tower Guard is the third variant the protagonists encounter, armed with a broadsword and a shield. Unlike the former two variants, this variant appears multiple times throughout the campaign. The first time they appear is in the stage "Base Climbing", standing guard during the Blackguard battle. The only time you fight a Red Tower Guard is during the stage "Shakedown".
Personality
As real knights would, they speak in old English and challenge enemies instead of just trying to kill them. They will compliment your hits if you damage them. The yellow variant even admits defeat and says you bested him upon his death.
