Jsoull is an animator on Newgrounds best known as the creator of the character Abaddon. He is also the one who hosted the Madness: JAILBREAK and Paradigmadness 2 collaborations. Currently he is working on what is supposed to be his final Madness animation, Maxification: 2 - A sequel to his first project from 2016.
Community History
Jsoull first became active in the community in 2016, where he released a solo-project for that year's Madness Day, Maxification. The project placed 7th during the event, right behind REALM Fraternization. The popularity gained by his first project lead to Jsoull landing a spot as an animator in the JAILBREAK collab, which was still run by Kenamii at the time. After the collaboration was abandoned by its original creator, Jsoull took the reigns and restructured the project, managing to release it on Halloween 2017.
Following the release of the JAILBREAK collab, Jsoull began gathering members for the resurrected Paradigmadness 2 Collab in 2018. According to Jsoull there were multiple issues that were encountered during development, the most prominent of which were animators abandoning the collab before finishing their parts and attempted sabotage by competing madness collabs around the same time. Paradigmadness 2 had its release date pushed back from July 4th to september 22nd, the Madness Day of that same year where it was finally uploaded.
Controversies
Before the popularity of the Jailbreak collab, Jsoull created audio remixes/overhauls for the original Madness Combat, REALM series, and other fan animations. However, he deleted them due to feelings of insincerity regarding audio overhauls of Official Madness content. This CSO (Complete Sound Overhaul) format has itself become a trend on YouTube and has seen countless uploads by those inspired by the style, often to Jsoull's chagrin.
