The sky in Madness Combat has changed dramatically throughout the episodes. It was originally a light grey sky, fitting with the (at that time) mostly monochrome theme, until Madness Avenger; when the Sun was brought to life by the Improbability Drive and killed by Hank with the streetsign. The sky was then altered further by the drive, giving it its iconic red glow. Its degradation and subsequent restoration are signs of the level of the Improbability Drive's effects and damage.
Madness Combat 3: Avenger
As mentioned above, Hank kills the Sun, and instantly the sky was cloaked in darkness. However, regular object lighting remained for the rest of the episode. The sky did not change in Madness Combat 4: Apotheosis, but a moon was seen to depict night, and Hank's headlights on his car were on.
Madness Combat 5: Depredation
Like Madness Apotheosis, a moon was seen to depict night. Halfway through the episode, Hank discovers a small, red, newly formed sun most likely created by the Improbability Drive. The sky is still black from there on, and there is no more mention of the red sun for the remainder of the episode. Template:Clr
Madness Combat 5.5
At the beginning, the sky is still black like in Depredation. However, the sky can be seen from a window with the same tint as in Antipathy halfway through the episode. Near the end, the sky is red and static, possibly because it is changing, and because Tricky was messing with Jesus and/or the Drive's power.
Madness Combat 6: Antipathy
In this episode, the red sun has majorly expanded, and the horizon of the sky half red and half black with a slight tint of grey in the middle. The length of expansion can be seen over Madness 5.5, and it is unknown how long Hank had remained dead until he was revived to see the newly colored sky.
Madness Combat 7: Consternation
The red sun has expanded even more in this episode, painting the sky a solid red. It stays this way during Madness Combat 8: Inundation, but at the end, when the Primary Improbability Drive was damaged, the sky was seen cracking open, sending out the normality restoration blast.
Madness Combat 9: Aggregation
The sky is seen mostly red at the beginning of this episode, but it is half red and half black in the end, with a slight tint of grey in the middle. Several blasts from the normality restoration are happening in the background, causing the sky to crack and break apart, revealing black void inside.
Madness Combat 10: Abrogation
The sky in Abrogation is very similar to the sky in Aggregation, however, the blackness of the sky has expanded more, and normality restoration blasts are more frequent.
SACRIFICE.fla
In the beginning, the sky is half black, half red. After Deimos exited the mirror version of the the bakery the sky is half black, half white. What needs to be taken into account is that this version of the sky is from the Other Place and not from Nevada, meaning the progress of Normality restoration can't be measured here.
