Role(s): Antagonist
Allies: A.A.H.W
Enemies: Hank, Sanford

The A.A.H.W Mag Agent is a special enemy type appearing in MADNESS: Project Nexus. They are mag agents belonging to the A.A.H.W and wear a standard agent suit, a giant black visor, and are armed with a giant Desert Eagle. They are bigger than the Mag Bandit, but smaller than Mag Agent: Gestalt.

Their only appearance in the story mode is in the mission Climb! where several are deployed in an attempt to hinder Sanford and Hank's progress scaling the Science Tower. In Arena Mode, they are encountered only during Infinite Waves on the mission Fast Track, showing up as a boss enemy periodically.

Tips

  • Explosives and Dissonant Explosives can ragdoll the Mag Agent, allowing for some free shots before they get up.
  • Laser weaponry are also very effective, such as the Nexus Laser Carbine or the Nexus Heavy Laser Rifle.
  • Mag Agents have the Sniper skill (similar to a MERC Sniper), and thus can sight in on the player, avoid it by dodging right as they're getting ready to fire.
  • The Mag Agent will periodically go into a frenzied charge periodically and thunder towards the player for a free takedown if caught. This even applies to the Massive origin in Arena Mode.
  • A Mag Agent will kick if the player gets in melee range too long, and has the chance to ragdoll the player, causing an easy Corpus loss if the Mag has allies nearby.
  • (Arena Only) Disquieted Origins can perform free takedowns on them provided they have the Improvised Weapon skill allowing damage to be dealt provided melee weapons are plentiful.
  • (Arena Only) If a Patient's Imaginary Friend spawns, the Mag Agent can potentially be distracted by it, use this to your advantage as much as possible.
  • (Arena Only) It is possible, though difficult, to push a Mag Agent off the train on the final train car in Fast Track, provided the player has the means to ragdoll them.

Trivia

  • They have unique execution animations when fighting against other mags/big enemies.
  • It is possible to dual-wield the Mag Agent's unique Desert Eagle, but as it is impossible to obtain in the story, it can be acquired in Playground Mode if two Mag Agents are slayed beforehand.
