Madness Combat 2 Redeemer

Rich was seen on an "Employee of the Month" poster in Madness Combat 2 Redeemer.

Incident: 011A

Rich appeared in person behind his work desk in Incident: 011A. Upon seeing Mag Agent: Torture killing every grunt in the room, he drew out an iron knife and stabbed him in the head. However, the mag agent punched him to the wall and crushed him with his desk, killing him.

MADNESS: Project Nexus

Before Story Mode

Rich used to work at Burger Gil's at some point.[1] During his career, he earned the "Employee of the Month" title. However due to unknown reasons, he quit his job. His former title is then given to Victor.

Afterwards, presumably by orders of Dr. Christoff, he was employed at the Outskirts Power Station in Nexus City, replacing everyone's jobs at the facility, including Bossman's. His shift was supposed to last for 1 year, but this became an impossibility due to the Zed outbreak caused by Christoff. Rich still continued working at the Power Station for 30 years, the station now being repurposed by MERC to ward off the bandits away from the city.

Rich meeting Hank at the Power Station

Rich appears early in Story Mode in the level "Power Play". Before encountering Rich, his "Employee of the Month" titles can be seen throughout several rooms of the Power Station. Hank finally meets Rich, who now sports a long white beard and a more dirtier look. Rich mistakes Hank for his replacement, telling him that he's late to his job for 29 years. Hank, wanting to deactivate the spotlights used by MERC outside, asks Rich how to turn off the power at the station. Rich is surprised by the question, telling Hank that if he shuts down the power, all his years working at the station would have been for nothing. Regardless, he lets Hank shut down the power, saying that it's no longer his job. Rich wishes Hank good luck before he leaves the room.

Rich appears again in the ending credits, being seen with a backpack walking away from Nexus City, alongside a group of bandits looking for their lost Mag Bandit.

Trivia

  • As Krinkels was asked about what Rich did to earn to employee of the month award, his answer was: "Perfect attendance."
  • When asked what Rich's job was, Krinkels answered "energy logistics", possibly a reference to his job in MADNESS: Project Nexus.
  • When Krinkels was asked, if Rich could kill an A.T.P. engineer, he replied with "Probably, if he got the drop on them. Real question would be if he'd have the will to do it."
  • When Krinkels was asked, why did Rich age but other characters like Hank didn't, he replied with "They're all older, Rich just didn't have access to clippers or a razor to shave that beard. Not like Hank needs it, considering he's utterly hairless."
  • When Krinkels was asked, if Rich had the Binary Sword, what could he accomplish, he replied with β€œIf he came into it's possession he'd extend his responsibility to keeping it clean and safe. I don't think it'd occur to him to learn how to use it as a weapon.”
  • When Krinkels was asked "If Rich is employee of the month and tricky/Jesus aren't, is Rich possibly more powerful than them?" to which he replied "Rich is the superior employee, you are correct.", possibly alluding to Rich's superior loyalty.
