The wakizashi is a traditional Japanese sword that was worn by the samurai class during feudal Japan. It was often used as a secondary weapon to a katana.

A wakizashi appears several times in Madness Combat 9.5, being wielded by some agents. All of these agents are quickly and easily killed by Hank. It was also used by an A.T.P. Soldat, who evaded Hank's gunfire and quickly swung the weapon twice. Hank dodged these attacks and stole the wakizashi from the soldat, killing an agent, and the weapon's original user shortly afterwards.

Madness Combat 11: Expurgation

Throughout the final Hell scene in Madness Combat 11, four different skeletons with wakizashi are summoned. The first three are punched to death by Hank, and the final one was shot to death by Hank's SCR M-Lok.
