The mega hammer is a mag-sized melee weapon that appears to be a combination of a glaive, an axe, and other blades strapped together to resemble a halberd. The name "Mega hammer" is actually a misnomer, referencing the source code of Madness: Project Nexus (Classic) where the weapon is programmed to act like a hammer instead of an axe.

The mega hammer debuted in Madness Aggregation in which it was summoned by the Mag Agent: V3, who unsuccessfully used it against the newly "magnified" Hank. At the end of the episode, Hank took it in preparation for a fight against the Auditor, in which it was later dropped in Madness Abrogation.

This weapon also appears in Madness: Project Nexus (Classic), the game in which the mega hammer got its name. It is the main weapon of the G03LM Mk2 in the Story Mode. Despite its many blades, the game recognizes the mega hammer as a blunt weapon. Thus, the weapon will knock back rather than cut the target. Like the minigun, it is one of several weapons unavailable to the player.
