The AK-47 is a Russian and the most prolific and mass-produced 7.62x39mm assault rifle in the world. It is first seen in Madness Combat 3: Avenger, used by both Hank and his enemies.

In Madness Combat 4: Apotheosis, it re-appears with a more realistic design and is picked up by Hank. The gun in this has three settings: Safe, Semi and Mega. After Hank dispatches some grunts, he flicks the switch from "Semi" (semi-automatic) to "Mega," making the rifle fully automatic.

It also appears in Madness Combat 5: Depredation, inside the car which Sanford and Deimos drive when they give Hank his dragon sword. In Madness Combat: 5.5 the gun inexplicably has a stock. It was gone from their car, meaning that it has been destroyed. It has appeared in nearly every animation since. It's most recent redesign is in Madness Combat 7: Consternation, where a stock has been added to the gun.

The AK-47 is also an automatic rifle featured in Madness Interactive and is able to kill a regular foe with two shots to the body. Although the AK-47 does not appear in Madness: Project Nexus (Classic), its smaller 5.45mm counterpart, the AK-74, does.

In MADNESS: Project Nexus, the AK-47 is now renamed the AN-47 and functions as a heavier hitting assault rifle with more recoil. It appears more often then not in lockers in Story Mode and semi-frequently in the hands of enemies such as Nexus Core. In Arena Mode, the assault rifle is unlocked for purchase after either Slaughter Time or Haunting of Nevada House are completed.
