The Tec-9 is a Swedish handgun chambered for the 9x19mm round. It is normally semi-automatic, but is commonly modified into a fully-automatic machine pistol in movies, TV, and video games. Madness Combat is no exception.

It was the standard weapon used by door guards in Madness Redeemer and is also the first gun to appear in the episode. It made a last appearance in Madness Avenger in the hands of a grunt and at one point, Hank.

The Tec-9 returned in Madness Inundation with a larger redesign. It was used by A.A.H.W. units in several times against Jesus. An agent that tried firing the weapon at Jesus missed every shot before being disintegrated. Near the end of the episode, the Auditor's computer had a window opened to a gun website with a description of the Tec-9: "This gun shoots bullets, blah blah blah, who cares. The bullets go really fast and they hurt sometimes. Big deal."

It is also a usable weapon in Madness Interactive that fires three-round bursts.

In MADNESS: Project Nexus, the Tec-9 returns as the TerrorNine or T9 and is one of the most common Sub-Machine guns in the campaign as well as one of Deimos's starting weapons for his "A" loadout. MERC Gunners will often dual wield this weapon when encountered. In Arena Mode, it is the first SMG the player can purchase from the Quartermaster, becoming available after completion of The Foundry.
